Types of Pallet Racks

Among several kinds of materialhandling equipments, palletracks are one of the most important equipments which are used to handle the industrial material. These are those frames which are termed as multi-level structured units which are used to hold thousand of pallets. To make such kind of frames, stacks of components are fastened together tightly.
There are 4 types of these frames.
  • Drive-in Frames: These are made with an intention to be driven through forklifts or similar vehicles. These frames are strong enough to resist any damage during forklift. These frames hold more loads and take up less space in the long run.
  • Push-back Frames: These are very similar to the above mentioned drive-in frames. The only difference between these two types of frames are push-back frames are believed to hold up double the capacity which the drive-in frames can hold.
  • Carton Flow Frames: These are made to store several cardboard cartons
  • Cantilever Frames: For handling huge, heavy and cumbersome materials, these frames are used. Long and flat items are stored using these types of frames. These are not only made to carry heavy loads, they are also designed to place these bulky items on or remove from a frame quite easily.
